This weekend marks the 2nd anniversary of the Brisbane Floods (that happened in January 2011).
Watched about the flood recovery story on ABC news this morning. It seems some business and residents are still have issues with their insurance company. They haven't got their insurance payout as yet. Some people may never get their payment because their insurance company never included floods on their contract.
There was one man interviewed saying he used his life's savings to rebuilt his home again. He is still waiting for his insurance company to pay up.
When it is time for your home and contents insurance to be renewed, just checked on your policy with the company you are using to see if your policy covers most natural disasters.
